Hi everyone,
Are you animating in Maya and want to shift to Blender because of industry demand? This is the right time to learn Blender for 3D animation.
Animseeds arranges a 4-week workshop to learn everything about Blender for animators. This is dedicated to 3D animators. This is not a generic Blender workshop. You are going to learn how to use Blender for only animating purposes.
This is a completely technical workshop for 3D animation in Blender.
Join today.

Workshop start date: 21st September 2025
Session time: 2 p.m. (IST)
Session duration: 1-2 hours.
Total sessions: Four.
Workshop tuition fees: Free.

Workshop Breakdown.
1st session date: 21st September 2025 at 2 p.m.
Week 1 – Getting Comfortable with Blender + Ball Animation Foundations
Goal: Understand Blender navigation, editors, and animation basics through a bouncing ball.
Editors Overview (Viewport, Outliner, Properties, Timeline).
Navigation & Object Basics (Move/Rotate/Scale, snapping).
Outliner Functions (parenting, collections, hide/unhide).
Mini Lighting & Materials (light types, simple Principled BSDF).
Rendering an Image (Cycles/Eevee, resolution, Save As).
File Management (incremental saves).
Ball Rig Exercise
Append ball rig.
Insert keyframes (I), interpolation modes (Constant, Linear, Bezier).
Animate bouncing ball (pose breakdowns, ease in/out).
Playback range, FPS settings, scrubbing.
Graph Editor Intro (tangents, handles, cleanup).
Week 2 – Character Rig Basics & Simple Posing
2nd session date: 5th October 2025 at 2 p.m.
Goal: Learn to work with a character rig, controllers, and posing.
Import, Link, Append (differences).
Link a character rig into scene.
Character UI Script (controllers, colors, usage).
IK/FK & Space Switching (demo hand/world follow).
Posing practice (strong poses, reset to T-pose).
Pose Library (save and recall poses).
Mini Animation Task: Animate a character holding a pose → shifting to another.
Goal: Animate with IK/FK, use constraints, pivots, and polish with graph editor.
Linking character (review).
FK to IK Animation (arm wave example).
Visibility management (hide/unhide props/geometry).
Euler Filter (clean rotations, avoid gimbal).
Selection Sets (arms/legs/face).
Week 3 – Rig Animation Workflow + Advanced Tools
3rd session date: 12th October 2025 at 2 p.m.
Temporary pivot for animation tricks.
Constraints (Parent/Copy Location/Follow Path → e.g., hand sticks to cup).
Graph Editor Tricks (Cycles, Noise, Limits, Clean, Bake).
Camera Management (multiple cameras, switching with markers).
Timeline with Audio (import WAV/MP3, sync).
NLA Editor (multiple actions, animation layers for fixes).
Graph Editor Cleanup (remove jitter, smooth curves).
Onion Skinning & Motion Paths (ghosting, trajectory).
Best Blender Animation Plugins & Resources
Animation Layers, Animate Pro, Auto Rig Pro, Onion Skin.
Free rigs (Blender Cloud, Agora Community, etc.).
Week 4 – Q&A
4th session date: 19th October 2025 at 2 p.m.
Welcome all doubts.
Note: This workshop is a fully technical program designed to teach you how to use Blender for animation. Our focus will be on demonstrating both common and advanced features of Blender’s animation tools.
Please note that this workshop does not cover the artistic or performance aspects of animation (such as improving animation skills). Instead, it is specifically aimed at helping you gain proficiency in using Blender as an animation software.
